My name is Cecilia Muthee, a graduate of Embu University where I studied Bachelor of Education Arts. I got born again back in 2013 August. Although the salvation journey then was hard, I thank God for bringing my way friendships that helped me grow and encouraged me in my walk with God.
I grew more significantly in the faith when I joined Embu University Christian Union, having been invited by a friend on the first Friday in campus. The fellowship was warm and solid discipleship was cultivated in the CU. The FOCUS Staff played a great role in taking me through foundational discipleship and understanding salvation. I got an opportunity to serve in the CU which provided me a great opportunity to interact and serve in different areas. The leadership journey contributed immensely to my growth as a follower of Christ and strengthened my resolve in service to God and to His people.
When the opportunity to do ministry among students through the FOCUS STEM program came, I wasn’t sure if I was ready and sufficiently qualified to do take on the task. When I sought the Lord regarding this, He reckoned my heart and prepared me for this great opportunity to serve and grow more and fulfill my purpose in Him.
My aspirations in joining the STEM program are to grow more Christlike, missions-minded, fearless, and courageously committed to the transformation of students, to see them loving God and Christ glorified in and through their lives hence living meaningfully. I pray that God will use me as a tool in his hands to impact the Students I will be serving among. It’s also my prayer that it will also be a transforming journey for my partners and the FOCUS Kenya Stakeholders as God enables us to fulfill His purpose to mentor and disciple students and hence impact nations.
much more grace sis
