I am Esther Nanjala. I am grateful to God for an opportunity to serve as a STEM Staff in Cooperative University and other CUs in Karen.
I started the year with anxieties and uncertainties, expecting to develop conviction, form character, listening from God, and grow in Him. I aspired to serve students faithfully, walk with them as they grow in their devotion to the Lord. The year has been filled with a lot of excitement; the retreats, the bonding session, fellowshipping together with students in various Campuses, the trainings among many others. The experiences have taught me to listen, to acknowledge mistakes, to get along with different personalities, and to love selflessly. Challenges were also a great part of the year; the unmet fundraising target, that unanswered calls from some partners and students, and the appointments I had to turn down due to having a lot on my plate. These challenges taught me how to be more assertive and plan myself more efficiently, surrendering all things to God.
I am convinced it is God who turns our lives around using people, some of whom we could not expect or imagine. The Lord is the strength of our hearts and our souls forever. I have learnt to listen, to communicate better, to mobilize resources, to train, facilitate sessions, and to be a servant at heart. I am stronger, more confident, more friendly, and responsible now. I have been developed into a self, family, community, and church leader. I look forward to joining the corporate world, venturing into accounting and entrepreneurship. I will not forget the values that have been instilled in me; integrity, faithfulness, Commitment, Accountability, Responsibility, teamwork among others.
As I exit I pray, God to preserve the CUs in Karen, to help them grow so that their impact will be felt through all the Campuses. May God bless all My Supporters, partners, and friends who have walked with me throughout the year. A special blessing and strength to my team leader for being very present, patient with me. I pray for the FOCUS Fraternity; that God will sustain this Ministry to continue growing and impacting many more lives. Amen
