My name is Gloria Chepkirui, the STEM staff in Laikipia and Nyandarua CUs.
My journey has been a collection of several strides to make a big step. As I began, I expected to reach out to students, to interact with associates, and learn from them.
I’ve had beautiful encounters with students that have changed their lives and mine as well. One such experience involves a student who admitted to her struggles in reading the Bible. It was my great joy to see her grow in scripture reading and comprehension.
Looking back, I wonder what my life would have been without the opportunity to serve as a STEM Staff. Even though my journey included a few thorns in my flesh (ailments), I ended up as a beautiful masterpiece of God. I view my journey as the breaking in the making. In my breaking points, I learned to trust in God. I’m a part of a puzzle that God was building up. I desire that God may use me in the market-place, where He is leading me. I am thankful that I have been able to grow financially accountable and more reliable in my work. My relational skills have improved from interacting with different people in my ministry ventures.
I pray that students may grow in the knowledge of God. May the Lord bless all our supporters. May their lives be transformed through this service. It’s my prayer that FOCUS Kenya may continue to impact many lives through all ages to come.
