When I look back, the two years through STEM have been a journey of personal discovery and growth. In its own special way, the second year has provided a whole set of new skills and experiences. I have grown in my communication, data management, and in building networks. The work of resource mobilization involves interaction with people and making follow up. Through this, my character has been greatly shaped. I have learnt to be patient and resilient. Above all, I have been convinced of God’s continuous provision for His work.
The program has also presented a rich platform for mentorship and accountability. Apart from work issues, our meetings always entailed sharing on various aspects of our lives. Continuous feedback from my team leader and colleagues has ensured continuous growth and taught me the value of excellence.
As I come to an end of the program I am convinced of two things; One, I made the best choice to join STEM, and two, I am a better person than I was when I began. I commit to uphold the values and convictions that I have acquired through STEM in the next stages of my life as God leads.
I will forever be grateful to God for the opportunity to serve at FOCUS. I appreciate my partners for their continued support, my parents, and to the great team of staff at FOCUS. May God bless you.
