My name is Paul Mwangi Maina. I pursued a degree in public health at South Eastern Kenya University.
My salvation journey began just before I joined high school when I attended an open-air crusade and surrendered my life to Christ. However, due to the company of friends I kept and my little understanding of the grace of God, I found it challenging to keep up but recommitted my life to Christ while I was in form 2.
I joined Campus in 2016 and shortly after joined the Christian Union and not long afterward I joined a Bible study group where I started experiencing God more closely in His word and grew significantly in my walk with Him. The CU played an integral part in my discipleship journey through the various discipleship programs some of which were facilitated by FOCUS staff. I had unique chances to grow in sharing my faith through the missions and evangelism activities organized by the CU.
My Journey to STEM started in 2019, during one of the FOCUS Conferences, the National Leadership and Mentorship Summit where I was thoroughly spurred into desiring students’ ministry. I was certain that God granting an opportunity, I would be glad to serve among students in the long term. Keeping this to myself, I cheerfully accepted the invitation when it came, shortly after campus. My motivation behind joining STEM is to see lives impacted with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and being enriched in sound doctrine and at the end giving hope to the Campus community and to the society in general. I hope is to see more students and more students living for Christ. I also hope to grow significantly in my walk with God.
I am trusting God for ministry partners to journey with me in prayer and financial support as I serve the students. I will be raising my ministry operational costs amounting to a monthly target of Kshs. 22,000 and I humbly invite you to be part of this great mission of reach students and changing/impacting nations for Christ.
